A Season To Explore

Start with Old Home Week, where the Lawnmower Races roar to life under the lights at Connell Park Raceway on August 1st, delivering an evening of fast-paced, family-friendly competition. The excitement wraps up on August 8th with the Richard Sharpe Demolition Derby, where the last remaining vehicle claims victory. 

The action continues on August 15th at the Richmond Corner Mower Races, followed by the Richmond Corner Antique Tractor Pull from August 21st-23rd, showcasing vintage tractors and rural traditions. Round out the season at New Denmark Plow Days on September 12, where agricultural heritage comes to life through competition. Lawnmower races on-site as well. 

Summer is the perfect time to explore some of the region's most unique attractions. Open for the season, Potato World offers affordable family fun with interactive exhibits, play areas, and activities like launching a potato cannon. Be sure to stop by the restaurant, where creative potato-inspired dishes take centre stage—including the popular French Fry Charcuterie Board featuring gourmet dipping sauces, along with sweet treats like iced fries and chocolate potato cake. Beginning June 21, the New Denmark Memorial Museum welcomes visitors for another season of discovering the area's rich Danish heritage. Open daily throughout the summer, the museum offers an engaging look at local history, along with affordable admission and souvenirs to remember your visit. Looking to experience art, culture, and history in one stop? Throughout July and August, Beyond the Bend Tours brings the region's stories to life through guided excursions featuring murals, historic buildings, and fascinating local tales. It's an easy and enjoyable way to gain a deeper appreciation for the communities and history that shape New Brunswick's First Town.
