Your Spring Reset Awaits

5 Ways to Soak Up Spring

1

A Golf Getaway For 4

This is the kind of place where a golf trip easily turns into something more. Start your season at Covered Bridge Golf & Country Club, an 18-hole, par-72 course known for opening early each spring. (April 17, 2026) Stay on site in one of 13 cottages designed for groups of four. Their two-night, three-day unlimited golf package includes carts and offers strong value, making it simple to focus on the game and the experience. May dates are available now, and they tend to fill quickly, so it’s worth securing your spot early.

If the weather shifts, NB Indoor Golf keeps the game going with high-quality simulators and access to world-class courses. In town, Downriver Beverage Co. brings local history to life through the story of A.J. Violette, one of New Brunswick's notable figures of the Prohibition era, along with a locally crafted rum inspired by his legacy. By May, a stop at the Covered Bridge Potato Chips gift shop adds a fun finish, with a seasoning table where you can create your own unique chip flavour and the chance to connect with a well-known New Brunswick classic before heading home.

Live Performances

Boxing, Comedy, Music & More!

We’ve pulled together a lineup of shows for every social seeker. Whatever kind of night out you’re looking for, there’s something on the calendar! Read on to see what’s coming in April & May.

April opens the season strong. On April 10 in Florenceville-Bristol, don’t miss an Epic Eagles Tribute night. Then, on April 17 in Woodstock, the Art Love tour makes its first appearance in West NB, where artists compete head-to-head in a timed creative battle for a place in the finals. Spectators are welcome, with admission by donation. Comedy follows on April 22 in Perth-Andover and on April 23 in Hartland, featuring Jon Dore, a familiar favourite from The Comedy Network.

May keeps the momentum rolling with a packed schedule. On May 2 in Florenceville-Bristol, experience a professional Boxing Showdown, followed by the Comedy Misfits in Woodstock on May 3—a touring show that’s been selling out across the country. On May 9, the Elm City String Quartet returns to Florenceville-Bristol with their talented live performance. Back by popular demand, The Grand Tour takes the stage in Woodstock with back-to-back shows on May 16–17, celebrating classic country hits from the ’50s through the ’80s. The month wraps up on May 30 with the Canine Circus in Woodstock—an unforgettable blend of magic, comedy, and dogs taking centre stage.

Indoor Family Fun

When the weather keeps things indoors, it's the perfect chance to slow down and lean into fun that everyone can enjoy. Make it a full outing with something for every kind of crew.

Families can roll into the Woodstock Bowlacade for classic candlepin bowling, then settle in for the latest film feature at Atlantic Cinemas. For a Girl's Night Out, get creative at Timber & Clay, painting your favourite ceramic piece before taking on the Fashion Escape Room (opening April 11th) at Escape Woodstock. Planning a date? Go for dinner at The River Restaurant and then step into the Axe Room at Timber and Clay, where 15 digital games bring a fresh, fast-paced twist. Find yourself missing Men's Night at your favourite course? Gather your crew and your clubs and head to NB Indoor Golf, where precise TrackMan simulators bring that same competitive edge, complete with interactive games like Capture the Flag to spark a little rivalry. Keep the night alive by going next door to Unit XIII, a welcoming social spot with great food and drinks.

Chasing Waterfalls

As snow melts and rivers swell, waterfalls come alive at their most powerful, with the bonus of fewer crowds. Take this time to plan a day trip or a slower 2-day escape.

Take your first steps at the Maliseet Trail. This easy, family trail follows part of an ancient portage route that once consisted of 200 kilometers of water routes. It connected lakes, streams, rivers, and even the Penobscot River, found in Maine. Nearby, the Mehtawtik (Meductic) Village National Historic Site offers a meaningful place to reflect on the deep history of Maliseet origins. Continue to Eel River Falls, where water fans wide across the river, then visit the nearby Eel River No. 3 Covered Bridge, built in 1927 and surrounded by classic New Brunswick scenery. Pause for lunch at the Lakeway Cafe Restaurant, serving homemade comfort food. Wrap up at Shogomoc Falls, a series of cascades along a forested stream, with the nearby Shogomoc Pedestrian Bridge that offers a striking scenic lookout point. End your day at Shogomoc Reach Treehouses, a quiet place to unwind after a full day of exploring.

Bird Watching & Fiddlehead Foraging

There’s one place where spring shows up all at once—fiddleheads to forage, wildflowers in bloom, and songbirds returning along the migratory route. The Meduxnekeag Valley Nature Preserve is a protected stretch of Appalachian Hardwood Forest, unique in Atlantic Canada and home to rare and uncommon flora and fauna.

Make a day of it. Start with your go-to—coffee, matcha, or a latte—from Fidelio Café, then stop by Hilltop Market for picnic essentials: fresh produce, ready-made meals, and something sweet from the Sweet Spot Bake Shop. At the preserve, begin on the Yellow Trail and see how many birds you can identify, then head to the Orange Trail to forage fiddleheads along the river’s edge—a short but celebrated spring tradition with deep local roots. Settle in for a riverside picnic before finishing on the Red Trail, where rare plant life and the iconic giant chair make for a perfect final stop. If you’re not ready to head back, keep the adventure going with nearby stops like Jackson Falls or the Beardsley Hill Nature Preserve.
