Experience hockey in its purest form at the World Pond Hockey Championships in Plaster Rock, NB! Every February, teams from across the globe—including Asia, Africa, Europe, the Caribbean, and beyond—gather to compete in this iconic outdoor tournament. With 20 rinks carved into a frozen lake, 40 teams play simultaneously in fast-paced 30-minute games, as over 7,000 bundled-up spectators take in the sights and sounds of skates carving ice and sticks slapping pucks. The atmosphere is electric, the snowbanks are lined with cheers, and the setting-against a backdrop of frosty trees and winter skies-is nothing short of magical.
